PERFORMANCES:
A Clown Intervention
During the workshop "Searching for the red nose" hosted by SPAA, we had the opportunity to grow our inner clowns and what better opportunity to bring it outside and entertain the audience during this wonderful event!?
For us at #spaafestival, putting on red nose is a very meaningful, yet simple action. It means that no matter who you are (a professional performer, someone in the audience or simply a curious person), you have the ability to become a clown and make people laugh for 5 minutes, 1 hour or an entire life. It means that anyone has the power to intervene in someone else’s everyday life, and make an impact.
Primitive
Primitive invites us, through a cinematographic universe, to witness a dialogue between different elements from the circus and dances. In this work, the body is the support on which the ceremony will take place.
In Primitive, knives fly and the body vanishes to become a new one. It represents the violence of the everyday performance, here to face our own reflection is the most macrabre poetry.
Aarhuspanti
Music and dance have been bringing humankind together since the dawn of time. Togetherness and inclusion are exactly what the group Aarhuspanti celebrates by drumming, jamming and jumping! Aarhuspanti got inspired by the Argentinian murga, which is a form of popular art that brings carnival to the streets - all year round. The collective was formed in summer 2015, when an international group of friends who had no idea about dancing and playing the drums decided that it would have been super fun to learn together and to bring more colour and joy to the streets of Aarhus. The fact that everybody can join this festive parade is at the heart of the spirit of Aarhuspanti and since then they performed in several national and international festivals.
+ A little EXTRA from SPAA:
